Only Flowers

Through this class, participants will learn how to create an ikebana arrangement with two or more kinds of flowers.  Leaves, grasses, or branches will not be used, but instead, the arranger must embrace the beauty of flowers and creatively figure out how to make an unique *all flower arrangement.  Any variety can be used but it must be a flower.  Think about the flowers that were chosen; look at the flower, leaf, stem and consider which parts of them could be utilized, how they could be edited, and what the overall effect could be within an arrangement.  A helpful guide, is to be aware of the visual elements such as line, shape, color, texture, mass, space, etc…  Thinking about two or more visual elements can pave the way for a beautiful ikebana flower arrangement.

• Class will be held at Yanagi Botanic Arts Studio located inside Yobel/ The Look Up Gallery building.  Paid parking is available through street parking and parking lots.   

• All tools and plant materials are provided; for this class, you can either bring or borrow a container.
