Anniversary Ikebana Class for Christine

Through this class, participants will create a freestyle arrangement with their own creative expression.  Three or more plant materials will be available.  The selection of materials will be based on but not limited to, locally obtainable material, seasonal material, special material, and/or simply what looks inspiring.  Enjoy arranging with your own creativity, personality, and skills while also keeping in mind the visual elements and principles of design.  Self-expression and a collaboration with the materials will be a key component when creating your arrangement.  You do not need to follow any fixed rules on lengths, and angels of stems.  Instead, look at the materials carefully to see which parts stand out and think about how they should be arranged so that those parts can be shown in the best possible way.  Like all classes, a demo will be given at the beginning to help participants better understand the materials and techniques for their freestyle arrangement.
